Prompting Claude manually every time you want a post scheduled still requires you to remember to do it. Claude Cowork's Scheduled Tasks removes that last manual step — set it up once, and it runs on a recurring basis in the cloud, connected to OneUp through the same MCP server used for one-off prompts.
How this differs from a normal Claude prompt
A regular Claude conversation only runs when you're actively prompting it. A Scheduled Task in Claude Cowork runs on its own, on a schedule you define — daily, weekdays, weekly — without you opening the app or sending anything. It's the difference between asking Claude to schedule a post right now versus telling it to handle this every day going forward.
Setting it up
- Make sure OneUp is already connected as a custom connector in Claude, authenticated with your OneUp API key (gear icon → API and MCP in OneUp, then Settings → Connectors in Claude).
- Open Cowork in the Claude Desktop app, or select Cowork from the message box.
- Set up a scheduled task, describing what you want done — for example: "Every weekday at 9am, generate and schedule one post about [topic] to my [Account Name] profile, sourcing an image from Pexels."
- Set the recurrence and save.
What runs in the background
Because this specifically uses connectors (not local file access or browser use), the task runs in the cloud — it fires on schedule even if your computer is off. This matters for anyone who wants a genuinely hands-off daily posting habit rather than something that depends on remembering to open Claude each morning.
Worth building in as a safeguard
For anything public-facing, it's worth having the scheduled task draft content rather than auto-publish immediately, at least until you've watched it run for a couple of weeks and trust the output consistently matches what you'd approve manually.
Requirements
Claude Cowork's scheduled tasks require a paid Claude plan (Pro, Max, Team, or Enterprise) — free accounts don't include this feature.
