Anthropic's Claude is well-regarded for drafting engaging, human-sounding content. However, copy-pasting posts, finding stock images, and manually populating your content calendar can still consume valuable time.
In this walkthrough, based on the tutorial video How to use Claude to create and schedule social media posts, you'll learn how to connect Claude directly to OneUp — a social media scheduling tool — so you can generate bulk posts, automatically attach royalty-free images, and schedule them across your social channels without leaving the Claude chat window.
What You Need Before Getting Started

OneUp Account: To generate an API key and connect your social profiles
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1: Locate Your OneUp API Key
Log into your OneUp account.
In the top navigation, click the Gear icon and navigate to API.
Select Generate API Key and copy the numerical key provided.
Step 2: Configure the Custom Connector in Claude
Open Claude and click on your Profile/Username in the corner.
Select Settings, then go to the Connectors tab.
Click Add Custom Connector.
In the OneUp API documentation, locate the setup endpoint URL. Append your OneUp API key directly to the end of that connector URL as instructed in the docs.
Save the configuration. You will now see OneUp listed as an active connector in Claude.
Step 3: Prompt Claude to Generate and Schedule Posts
Start a new chat in Claude and issue a detailed bulk-scheduling prompt.
Example Prompt:
"Create 5 posts about dogs to publish over 5 consecutive days, posting at random times between 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM. Use Pexels to find a unique dog image for each post, and schedule them to my [Account Name] profile under the [Category Name] category."
Step 4: Watch the Automation in Action
Once submitted, Claude will sequentially execute the following steps:
Identify Accounts — Claude uses the OneUp connector to locate the specified social media channel and category.
Fetch Media — It connects to Pexels to pull relevant high-quality images for each post.
Queue Content — Claude schedules each post individually with randomized time slots within your requested window.
Step 5: Verify in Your OneUp Calendar
Open your OneUp Calendar or account dashboard to review the queued content. All five posts — complete with unique captions, royalty-free stock photos, and staggered publication times — will appear ready to publish automatically!
