OneUp API Documentation: Scheduling Posts, Analytics, and Comments Programmatically

What OneUp's API documentation covers: connections, scheduling text, image, and video posts, managing posts, comments, inbox, and analytics...

OneUp's API documentation covers the core of what you'd want to automate: connecting to your accounts, scheduling posts, managing what's queued, handling comments and inbox messages, and pulling analytics. Here's what's in it and how requests are shaped.

The basics

OneUp's API is a RESTful JSON API. The base URL is https://www.oneupapp.io/api/, and every request is authenticated with your API key, which you generate on OneUp's API Access page.

The key is passed as an apiKey query parameter on each request, not as a bearer token or header. Because it travels in the URL, keep it out of shared scripts, logs, and screenshots, and store it in an environment variable or secrets manager.

Managing connections

Before you can post, you need to know which accounts you're targeting. OneUp groups accounts into categories:

  • List categories returns your category IDs and names
  • List category accounts returns the accounts inside a category, each with a social_network_id and network type
  • List social accounts returns every connected account regardless of category
  • Fetch Pinterest boards and fetch YouTube playlists return the extra IDs those networks need

Creating posts

Three endpoints cover the main content types:

  • /api/scheduletextpost for text-only posts
  • /api/scheduleimagepost for single images or carousels (separate multiple image URLs with ~~~)
  • /api/schedulevideopost for video, with an optional custom thumbnail

Each takes a category ID, a social_network_id (a JSON array of account IDs, or "ALL" for the whole category), a scheduled_date_time in YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM format, and the post content. A first_comment option is available on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube. The reference also includes an upload-media endpoint and endpoints for Instagram and TikTok trending sounds.

Managing posts

Once posts are queued, the API lets you:

  • List scheduled, published, failed, and draft posts
  • Edit or delete a scheduled post
  • Reschedule a failed post

Comments and inbox

The docs cover reading and responding to audience activity too:

  • Fetch top comments, fetch replies, reply to a post or comment, and delete a comment
  • Fetch inbox conversations and messages, send a message, mark a conversation read, and update its status

Analytics

There are analytics pages for each supported network, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Threads, Snapchat, Pinterest, Bluesky, YouTube, TikTok, Google Business Profile, and Meta Ads, along with a way to force a refresh.

Where to find the details

Field names, required parameters, and response formats are in the reference at docs.oneupapp.io. If you can't find a way to do something you need, OneUp says to contact support, and the team will consider adding it to the API and MCP.
