Planable vs OneUp: Approval Workflows or Flat Per-Account Pricing?

Planable and OneUp both promise the same thing: schedule more posts in less time, for less than the big enterprise tools. Planable is built collaboration-first — approvals, client review links, and unlimited teammates in every workspace. OneUp is built around flat per-account pricing and broader coverage, including Snapchat, Reddit, and Discord, which Planable does not support. The right choice depends on whether client sign-off or per-account cost is your bottleneck.

Quick verdict

If approvals are your bottleneck, Planable wins on workflow; if cost per account and platform breadth matter more, OneUp wins — Planable caps posts at 60 or 150 a month and charges extra for its inbox and analytics.

  • Planable Pro costs $49/month billed annually for 10 social pages and 150 posts a month; OneUp Basic costs $15/month billed annually for 5 accounts with unlimited posts, and $40/month at 10 accounts.
  • Planable includes unlimited users in every workspace; OneUp charges per social account, not per seat.
  • Planable supports 9 networks and has no Snapchat, Discord, Reddit, or Bluesky; OneUp supports 13, including all four.
  • Planable's public API is Pro and Enterprise only; OneUp includes API and MCP on every plan, including the $15 Basic plan.

Pricing: per workspace vs per account

Planable charges per workspace, with unlimited users on every plan — it states this explicitly: pricing is per workspace, not per seat. Basic costs $39 a month, or $33 a month billed annually ($390 a year), and covers 4 social pages with a 60-post monthly cap. Pro costs $59 a month, or $49 a month billed annually ($590 a year), and covers 10 social pages with a 150-post monthly cap. Enterprise is custom, typically from around $2,500 a year according to Planable's help center, with unlimited posts and pages.

OneUp charges per social account. Basic is $15 a month billed annually (5 accounts, extra accounts $5 each), Growth is $84 a month (30 accounts, $3 each extra), and Business is $240 a month (80 accounts, $1 each extra). Monthly billing is $25, $120, and $300. Every plan includes unlimited posts, so there is no monthly post cap to plan around.

At 10 accounts, Planable Pro costs $49 a month billed annually — but you can only create 150 posts a month across those 10 pages. OneUp at 10 accounts costs $40 a month billed annually with no post limit. At 30 accounts, Planable has no published tier that fits without Enterprise pricing, while OneUp Growth costs $84 a month. The math flips for large teams: a 20-person agency pays the same Planable workspace price as a solo user, while OneUp's cost grows with accounts, not people.

Add-ons change the comparison. Planable's social inbox costs $9 a month per workspace and analytics costs $14 a month per workspace — neither is in any base plan. Social listening is $99 a month. OneUp includes its social inbox, AI captions, and social listening on every plan.

Platform coverage

Planable supports Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, YouTube, TikTok, Pinterest, Google Business Profile, and Threads — 9 networks. That covers the mainstream, but if your clients are on Snapchat, Discord, Reddit, or Bluesky, Planable cannot schedule there at all.

OneUp supports all 9 of those plus Snapchat, Reddit, Discord, and Bluesky. If you only need the mainstream nine, this difference does not matter. If even one client needs Snapchat or Reddit, it decides the comparison on its own. Where Planable wins: approvals and client collaboration

This is Planable's real strength, and it is deeper than OneUp's approval workflow. Planable is built around the review loop: internal and external reviewers, comments and annotations on drafts, and clients who approve from a link without creating an account. Pro adds required approvals; Enterprise adds multi-level approval chains. Notably, the free trial — your first 50 created posts — includes multi-level approvals even though they are normally Enterprise-only.

OneUp includes approval workflows on every plan, and its post settings let you require approval before a post goes live. What it does not offer is Planable's client-review layer: dedicated reviewer roles, per-post comment threads with clients, and multi-tier sign-off chains. If your agency's bottleneck is getting a client to sign off on 40 posts a week, Planable is the better tool for that job. The caps that matter

Planable's 60- and 150-post monthly caps are the detail most likely to surprise a buyer. The caps count created posts per workspace per month, not scheduled posts — a workspace publishing 5 posts a day across 4 pages hits the Basic cap in 12 days. Extra posts on Pro cost $49 a month and raise the cap to 500. OneUp has no post cap on any plan, and its recurring-post feature re-shares evergreen content automatically without counting against a quota.

Planable does offer recurring posts — they repeat daily, weekly, or monthly with custom frequency and expiry dates — and one post can be scheduled to multiple platforms at once. Bulk upload works via CSV import (up to 400 rows). OneUp matches on recurring posts and crossposting, and adds bulk upload with no stated row limit.

Planable's trial is unusual: your first 50 created posts, with no time limit and no credit card required. The catch is that X publishing is excluded during the trial, and the public API is not included either. OneUp's trial is a standard 7 days on all plans, with API and MCP access included from day one.

Which one should you pick?

Choose Planable if you run an agency where client approvals are the daily bottleneck, you have many teammates and few social pages, and you publish under 150 posts a month. The unlimited-users-per-workspace model and the client review links are genuinely better than anything OneUp offers in that workflow.

Choose OneUp if you publish at volume, need Snapchat, Discord, Reddit, or Bluesky, want the inbox and analytics without add-ons, or want API and MCP access on the cheapest plan. At 10 accounts OneUp costs $40 a month billed annually with unlimited posts; Planable Pro costs $49 with a 150-post cap and a $9-a-month inbox add-on on top.

FAQ

Is Planable cheaper than OneUp?
No, not at most account counts. Planable Basic is $33 a month billed annually for 4 pages and 60 posts a month, while OneUp Basic is $15 a month billed annually for 5 accounts with unlimited posts. Planable only wins on price for teams with many users and very few pages.

Does Planable support Snapchat, Discord, or Reddit?
No. Planable supports 9 networks — Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, YouTube, TikTok, Pinterest, Google Business Profile, and Threads — and does not list Snapchat, Discord, Reddit, or Bluesky.

Does Planable have a free plan?
No. Planable offers a free trial of your first 50 created posts, with no time limit and no credit card required, but X publishing and the public API are excluded during the trial.

Does Planable have an API?
Yes, but only on Pro and Enterprise plans. Its MCP connector, by contrast, is available on every plan including the free trial. OneUp includes both API and MCP on every plan.
