Getting good results out of Claude, ChatGPT, or Grok for social media scheduling depends a lot on how the prompt is written. Vague requests get vague (or wrong) results; specific ones tend to work reliably. Here's a working set of prompts for the most common tasks, once any of the three is connected to OneUp's MCP server.
Scheduling a single post
"Create a Facebook post with the caption '[caption text]' to my [Account Name] page under the [Category Name] category for [time] today."
Naming the specific account, category, and time removes the most common source of ambiguity — without them, the AI has to guess which of your connected accounts you mean.
Bulk scheduling with variation
"Create [X] posts about [topic] to publish over [X] consecutive days, posting at random times between [start time] and [end time]. Use Pexels to find a unique image for each post, and schedule them to my [Account Name] profile under the [Category Name] category."
Random time windows (rather than a fixed time) help bulk-scheduled content avoid looking obviously automated.
Crossposting setup
"Set up a crossposting workflow from my [Source Platform] account to my [Destination Platform] account, so every new post automatically publishes to both, spaced out over [timeframe]."
Analytics-driven content suggestions
"Pull my [Platform] analytics from the last [timeframe]. What are my top-performing posts, and suggest [X] new post ideas based on that pattern."
Comment reply drafting
"Fetch the latest comments on my [Platform] posts from the past [timeframe] and draft a reply for each one, flagging anything that needs my personal attention instead of an automated response."
Recurring/scheduled task setup (Claude Cowork or ChatGPT Scheduled Tasks)
"Every [day/weekday] at [time], [generate and schedule a post about X / check analytics and suggest a follow-up post / reply to new comments] on my [Account Name] account."
Grok-specific: syncing from X
"Sync new posts from my X account to my [Destination Platform] account, checking for new content every hour."
The pattern worth remembering
Across all of these, the prompts that work best name the specific account, platform, category, and timeframe explicitly, rather than leaving the AI to infer them — the more concrete the request, the less back-and-forth needed to get the result you actually wanted.
